Last night I was privileged to attend an amazing musical performance. Indian classical music is well known and appreciated for its complexity and resonating sounds. The sounds of the sitar and tabala are like chocolate cake and red wine; a perfect complement. Josh- your blog is amazing! I, too, have been entranced by the rhythmic oddity of tabla and tambura and sitar music; THE Ravi Shankar played for us freshman year at Temple University, for us music students. A memorable time.
